Using the existing framework of the QuadGuard, the QuadGuard II provides TL-2 and TL-3 protection using less length. The TL-2 QuadGuard II is 25% shorter than the original QuadGuard measuring less than 3m (10’). The TL-3 model is also nearly a meter, 3 feet, shorter than its predecessor. The only modifications are the addition of the revolutionary Steel Nose, and the monorail Guide Stabilizers. The remaining components are identical to the existing NCHRP 350 systems that have been installed globally since the mid 1990’s.
The QuadGuard II will telescope rearward on head-on impacts by both the light car and the high center-of-gravity pickup truck at speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mph) and safely redirect errant vehicles on impact up to 20 angles into the side of the unit without gating.

During head-on impacts, the QuadGuard Systems telescope rearward and crush the cartridges to absorb the energy of impact. When impacted from the side at angles up to 20°, the QuadGuard Systems safely redirect the errant vehicle back toward its original travel path without allowing gating.
The Energite III System is a non-directive, easy-to-install crash cushion consisting of a number of sand-filled, polythelyne plastic modules that are installed in a specific geometric array in front of a hazard. Each module in the array consists of a one-piece barrel, a lid and, in some modules, a cone insert. The cone insert is used to adjust the sand height or center-of-mass and the overall weight of the barrel. The barrel’s weight requirement is determined by its place within the array.
The SS90HD is a heavy duty, potentially reusable truck mounted attenuator (TMA) available for use on stationary or moving shadow/support vehicles. This TMA has passed all mandatory and optional testing and is NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 3 compliant. Additionally, the SS90HD has passed the UK TD 49, 110 km/h (68 mph) test.The unit is comprised of two light-weight aluminum cartridges contained in a potentially reusable galvanized support frame. The SS90HD helps to absorb rear-end impacts at speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h) when impacted according to NCHRP350 crash test standards.

The Vorteq TL-3 Trailer TMA is an innovative attenuator efficiently designed to meet both mandatory & optional NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 requirements.
